Advice if possible

Good morning

I’m basically looking for help and advice, my dad was diagnosed with heart failure just after Xmas. He’s now on some different medication and he was so much better (he was so ill over Xmas). But he seems to be a bit worse for wear again, he has a cold and just isn’t himself. I feel so frustrated as I don’t know where to turn. He doesn’t get how serious it all is yet, we have been to the hospital for tests, latest one was a heart scan, no results yet. I’m guessing he will having a hospital letter soon calling him back up. So, with his cold, should he be going to the doctors to get checked? He is exhausted more than anything, coughing, bit of breathlessness, which I know are all HF symptoms. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

With your father's health history and the way he is feeling now I would think that a visit to his GP would be advisable .(I'm not a medic....just have a long history of heart problems)

Best wishes

Go and get it checked out. My hubby had what we thought was flu last year - it was his heart causing the problems. With your dads history better to be safe.

All the best.
