So was I but have been taking rivaoxaban for five years without a problem. The risk of stroke was greater than my concern about the drug but I understand completely your reticence.

Thankyou for your reply, yes I think your right , I’ve been taking aspirin for twenty years, but now apparently as I’m now over 50 I have to take this new drug! Thanku again for your reply

My husband was prescribed Rivaoxaban, aspirin and another drug for atrial fibrillation following a quadruple bypass. He did not have any problems with it. At his review his cardiologist stopped the rivaoxaban and the other drug and left him on aspirin only - about 10 days later he suffered s small stroke and is now taking Edoxaban with no apparent ill effects.
