Hi iv had a resting heart rate of 53 lowest and was wondering if this is healthy?
Hi my resting heart rate is usually b... - British Heart Fou...
Hi my resting heart rate is usually between 53 and 56 is this ok?
My resting HR is around 57, I take no beta blockers now and my Dr seems quite happy with it.
Thanks for your reply 👍
Yes Michelle that is fine ... Same as mine !
Me too Gunsmoke 😳😂
Hi there, my resting heart rate is also in the 50’s. If you are an active and exercise a lot its normal to have hr of 50’s. Otherwise could be due to beta blockers.
Mine between 40 and 46. I run walk play golf cycle go to the gym and lead a normal life. Get on with your life. Pop in to see your doc if it's bothering you.
Mine is 37 - 46 which makes me dizzy at times. If you feel ok it should be fine
When I have been in hospital the machine beebs constantly. It has been noted I am Bradycardic, it does stop me getting some of the better heart meds though as a lot lower HR. Maybe I am just chilled 🤣🤣🤣
My heart rate 49, 52, 51, 49, 50 , 53 going up!☺️63 I must be over exited 70!!!! That was all within 2 minutes. I'm not sure if take lowest, highest or average😳
Mines 64?!? I thought that was normal for 50 yr old male ?
Fine mine usually between 51 - 59 and only on very low dose beta blocker
Hi, that sounds fine to me. My resting HR was in the high 40s so if you are fit and healthy don’t worry.
I'm more confused than ever reading the above posts. It seems anything goes!
I think it does! Mine's around 43. If it drops below 40 (ie at night) then my ICD pacemaker kicks in. I'm on 5mg Bisoproplol, and my HF nurse wanted to get the HR even lower to force the ICD to do most of the work, until she realised that I only have 2 leads in instead of 3, so the pacing would have been lopsided (my term, not hers!). (I'm 57yo)
An athlete can have a heart rate of 50 or below. So that is fine for you as long as u feel OK and have no other problems or issues (such as feeling faint dizzy or actual blackouts) especially if your doctor is OK with it .
My resting heart rate ranges between 45-55. I am fairly fit for my age and walk upto 8+ miles a day and lots of physical exercise with my job. 🙂
If it below 30 that would be an issue.
I'm quite active myself. I walk at least 6 miles a day. Climb on average 33 to 45 flights of stairs over the day. And do 10,000 to 15,000 steps a day. My job keeps me active and I walk there and back. Maybe that's why.
My husband takes bisporol too and has a very low resting heart rate ( between 45-55) he saw his cardiologist a couple of weeks ago and they reduced the dose to try and get it back up a bit. It hasn’t changed though ?! Even if he does excercise it doesn’t really increase, and quickly goes back. He tells me it’s because he’s an athlete ha ha! Dr seems ok for it to increase slightly but hubby feels healthy
Hi Michelle. I have been on Metoprolol 200 mg daily because of perm flutter after my last ablation. For about three months or more I have been fluttering around 60-100, sometimes more, bpm. The last few days the bpm has been in low to mid 50s. Feeling really tired and fatigued. That’s weird though, because I used to always be in the 60’s and then 50’s while on rithym meds.
He takes 5mg . He was on 10mg until about three weeks ago. To be honest the reduction hasn’t made a difference to his heart rate. The plus point is he can now feel warmth in his hands , that was rare until recently!
Really? My hubby feels great on his. How long have you been taking it? Is it making you sluggish due to the heart rate or generally not well? You need to discuss it with your cardiologist if so . We’re just thankful he’s not on Amiodarone anymore!
Yeah to be fair they jigged around with his meds quite a lot in the early days and to the docs credit happened upon a good combination first off for him. I think you need to review yours if you are feeling not 100%.
