Up-date re BP and holiday plans

I appreciate the replies to my posts re the above i.e discrepancy in BP between arms & decision on holiday soon after HA. Have just seen my GP who gave me somewhat manic feedback re how well I look & was not concerned re BP which was much less discrepant but keeps fluctuating a lot. GP says the latter is normal but I don't know what the parameters are. I have spoken to the rehab team re the holiday & decided to go. My mood plummeted at the thought of cancelling & if I am likely to feel worse as meds kick in I prefer this to take place on a roof terrace in Provence. Now have to bite the bullet & pay above the odds for travel insurance - £80 single trip is cheapest I can find but companies I have spoken to assure me it will come down next time once I have passed the 6-12 week mark. Will let you know how it goes.

I think you will enjoy and the warmer climate and change of scene will do you good. Take an extra week of tablets with you and copy of your prescription and hospital discharge letter detailing your treatment. The only point of caution I would say is don't lift anything heavy. When travelling going through customs or boarding trains you can tend to rush and pick up a bag DONT let your husband or ask for assistance. Don't sit for long period move around. Have a great time.
