Hi my heart rate spikes all the time and I have dizzy spells nausea and fatigue and then I have good normal days. I go from 47/72/105/92/50/60 all day long.i cans be doing the exact same thing and none strenuous, eg sitting on the sofa watching tv. Sitting chatting with someone, driving. Night time my heart rate is often in low 40 and then will spike 92/89/60/ etc up and down all night sometimes.

I regularly have light headed dizziness and always fatigued.

My blood pressure will go from 150/70 56 to 117/60 59 examples

I’m 51 not over weight and have always been active. I love hiking but my last hike made me so unwell. I pushed myself through the dizziness and had a week long headache. When I’m dizzy and push my self I have headaches and feel nausea .

I have been going constantly back to gp who eventually said they will refer to cardio but I’m on waiting assessment to see if they will see me or refer back to gp

Life’s is hard as I’m trying for to keep going but no Idea whether to push through or if I am a Ha waiting to happen.

All my father side have stroked and hA but r life style unhealthier than mine.

Any thoughts ?

Worried xx

I don't know your history. But, I don't think anyone should push through to the point of dizziness and near fainting. Symptoms are your body trying to tell you something. Are you getting dehydrated?

Your vital signs fluctuate throughout the day. Are you on meds? When meds kick in you will see changes in the vitals signs.

Hi is kind of you to reply. I’ve been on lasartan 50mg pm since 2010

No illnesses and not dehydrated. Life is tough and it concerns me as I my father had a stroke at 39 aneurism at 60 which killed him. All his side of family ha before 65 ... I am far healthier than them. I have had thyroid, anemia diabetes checks ...

Sounds like a pretty big family history. But you are taking care of yourself which is great.

What have they done for workups? Or do you have to wait for the specialist for that?

I would not push myself to the point of being that symptomatic.

I have to wait to see if I can get accepted for an assessment at cardio clinic. Gp said I need monitor for 48 hours ... just so frustrating as it’s has been a while tying to get the doctor to listen to my symptoms and stop fobbing me off ... :( so nice that this is a forum of support xx

Yes, the forum is great:) it's nice to reach out and get help.

I hope you get answers soon. The waiting must be difficult. The struggle to get someone to listen very frustrating.

My resting hr is 53 but when I do a gentle walk it is 120. Standing around the house it's 90. Cardio exercise it's 120-160. A cardiologist has told me nothing wrong with my heart though it doesn't feel like it. Just replying to let you know it may not mean there is something wrong with your heart. I'm 49.

Hi I do appreciate and hope that’s the case. Do you get dizziness and nausea and extreme fatigue and chest pain and discomfort? That’s what accompanies mine and I can be doing exact same activity or rest and mine spikes up and down constantly ? Mine wakes me at night The more o try to do the worse I feel.

I have been told today I will receive Cardio assessment. Soon

Well I have gone through the 'oh my god I'm dying phase'. Now I'm just waiting for things to get 'better' or 'worse'. If they get worse, at least I will get a diagnosis. If they get better I'd be amazed. It's been over 6 months like this. The exhaustion is the worst- I think HR up and down doesn't help. When u see cardiologist ask loads of questions. Try to avoid medications u less u have a diagnosis of something.

When I was young and athletic a heart rate of 30 was OK, but I did get postural hypotension after a run.

When I got AF and bradycardia, my SPO2 was getting down to 75 at night, but I had to get a gizmo to prove to the GP that I was ill to get referred to a cardio.

My sister has AF, and my father died of heart failure... aggravated by being 24 stone for decades.
