bloating and pain after taking ramipril

hi, my blood pressure was a bit high so my gp started me on ramipril, after a couple of weeks I started to get bloating in my upper tummy and pain on the left side just below my ribs, This happened just after my evening meal, never after breakfast or lunch,,,,I stopped taking them and three or four days later the symptoms had stopped. I saw my gp to let him know , he checked my blood pressure which was fine and told me to stop yaking ramipril......I checked the side effects on google and apparently they can cause pain and bloating...

True but keep a check on your BP every week atleast & do ask your GP as to whether any other BP medication is required. Physical exercise preferably walking daily will reduce BP and curtail your salt consumption

Always check side effects. If you didn't have symptoms before then its meds. Always alternatives
