Hi, I’m needing some advice please just the past 20mins I had onset of chest pain in the middle of my chest, which has also travelled down my left arm which makes my arm feel kind of numb and like the feeling of a dead arm. I’m cold but sweating at the same time. I’ve done a quick search and heart attack symptoms are the same which are worrying but I’m picking up kids from school otherwise I would go to the gp, any ideas of what this could be?

Leading a healthy lifestyle does not men you cannot have a heart attack. You need to ring 999 and not drive! After ringing 999 ring the school - they should have procedures in place for this sort of situation.
999 immediately. Arrange for kids to be picked up. Do NOT drive
You should call the ambulance urgently, the ambulance staff are well trained in caring for chest pain and heart attack and will get you straight to the medical team specialists for immediate treatment.
Hi all, thank you for the advice, my symptoms lasted about an 2 1/2 hours, I was too scared to call an ambulance , didn’t want to look silly 😕 I just went to bed early and I’ve been to the doctors this morning. I’ve to go to the cardiology department for 1.30 today as my heart rate is to fast and doctor said something about tachycardia?
Is there any way of telling if I had any sort of heart attack? Blood test etc?
The hospital might check to see if you have had a heart attack. You REALLY should have got an ambulance to A&E yesterday. When you have got over the shock of this and started to think straight you will realise this is true. We are all relieved on here that you are OK but Phew!
Hi Debz34 , I'm glad to hear you're ok. I would really stress that you would not look silly calling an ambulance if you're experiencing chest pain. It's better to be safe and get it checked out. Keep us posted on your appointment and take care.
It is scary happened to me one morning whilst looking for something in the cupboard. Sat down and pains in chest with palpitations, pain down arm and sudden nausea and breaking out in a cold sweat. This lasted for about half an hour and then sort of passed. Best thing was before it happened I was going to a local shop to a buy a small fry but after that I declined.
