I’m new to this forum, but hope this may help others avoid my situation. I Went to collect my renewal prescription for Disopyramide 100mg and was informed by the pharmacist that he had been unable to get a supply of it. He had tried three major wholesalers without success. (Brexit stockpiling?) My GP is now in frantic consultation with the cardiac dept (no hope on a Friday afternoon) to get an alternative. It may only be a localised problem (South West London) but my advice is don’t wait until your current supply is too low before reordering.

Disopyramide shortage
Hi I live in Birmingham and also can’t get this drug anywhere. I contacted the pacing team st the Queen Elizabeth Hospitaland they have managed to get me a months worth. Not sure what happens next
I did read that there are a number of medications in short supply and this may increase post Brexit. It also said that standardising on 28 day prescriptions is being considered. One friend's wife is only being given 28 day prescriptions (beta blocker and ???) and seems forever to be putting in requests at her surgery.
Same thing has happened to me I don’t know what to do
I’m in the same boat. St Bart’s Heart Hospital managed to get me a months supply. No availability locally (South Essex ). I was also informed that there is no alternative to this medication (when combined with Verapamil). Going back with my begging bowl to Bart’s, but not holding out much hope.
My son has had the same problem i ended up getting some over 140 miles away thankfully near his dad who sent them to me the 150 mg are still about so he has been put now on 2 of them a day instead of 3 100mg a day
