Recurrent chest infection

I had a quadruple bypass in December 2017. Since then I have had 4chest infection s,the most recent two being only 6 weeks apart. Is this common? Also I have severe night sweats now which I didn't have pre ol. I am a 74 year old man. Can anyone ahead light p!ease? Thank you

Might I suggest a complete blood test..

The night sweats are a concern, as if severe, they are one indication of another issue.

Also any repeated infections can also be an indicator of another issue, and is sometimes due to a low iGA, iGM or iGG level. ( Or possibly a low vitamin D..)

Time for some further investigation

I agree with Kwenda. Night sweats need to be investigated, have you specially mentioned them to your GP?
