Stents recovery

Had 2 stents fitted 14 days ago and developed bruising straight away and was told it could reach up to my elbow which it has. I know this is common but can anyone tell me when they have had the same like mine does it from time to time heat up on said bruise?

Mark some of your medication will be to reduce platelets sticking together, aspirin and probably Clopidoprel these will mean that bruising is much more profound than ‘normal’. Yes my bruising was fairly extensive alongside other sites cannula, blood tests and it took a while to fade. It shouldn’t be sore and will just gradually disappear and colour will change took at least 2 weeks in my case.

Hi Susie thanks yeah the brusing round the puntcher site has dates it's more up round where the cannula was but it's a hot sensation from the bruise that's just started happening. Think I'll give the doctors a bell 🙂

I was extensively bruised and sore for about 3 weeks. You are probably ok but wise to have it checked if it's warm or becomes hard / swollen

Yeah I need to phone tomorrow about my BP meds anyway so will mention the problem and see when they say 👍
