My rehab was postponed by about four weeks. They always have to weigh benefits vs risks. I finished rehab ten days ago with an exercise bike performance that impressed them all. In these cases patience is a virtue.

Mine was postponed as well because I was very poorly with an electrolyte imbalance after a triple bypass. That was in April/May & I finished my rehab two weeks ago, that was a 12 week course so don’t worry about the delay. I am now going on the cardio fit sessions at a local gym where the cardio physios attend to help you increase your fitness & confidence even more.

Thank you Jean I think the cardiologist might be waiting for results of echo scan that I have got to have in 3/4 weeks time. I did go into cardiac arrest 5 times that was 28/10/2018 .

I hope all the results are OK & that you can start rehab soon, I had to wait til August for mine, not the fault of the rehab staff, they were waiting for me to be fit enough because I was very weak after the op & then the electrolyte imbalance. When I first started I was using a walking stick but I soon stopped using it. The rehab gave me back confidence as well as the physical fitness. I start next Monday at cardio fit once a week for 12 weeks at a local recreation centre so hope to be even better after that. You have to pay for that but it’s worth it to me.

Good luck.

It’s a long road to recovery but you’ll get there. Just eat healthily, be as active as you can but rest. It’s a new ‘normal’ - it’ll take time to get used to.
