OK Stupid Question but........

Its been bugging me for a while.

OK, our heart is a pump and when pumping to your legs and feet it can have a hard time - hence the build up of fluids in your feet.

So, if I had my leg amputated from the knee down and got a fancy false leg - would I be allowing my heart to beat stronger for other parts of my body - extending it's life and improving my QoL.

Drink has been taken.

No, amputation actually can cause a cardiac event! Criteria usually are long term none healing ulcers (these can then cause sepsis), unbearable pain or gangarene.

Best close, not finish, the bottle for tonight!

No, the fluid would build up in your knees instead!
