Any one on sertralene anti depressant ?

Anyone on anti depressants after their heart attack ? I have been given them but worried about side affects. But I am constantly anxious simce the HA. Thanks for yoir experiences

Not myself but my mother was in her latter years as Parkinsons tightened its grip. Sertraline addresses a chemical imbalance and lifted her mood. Many drugs she was tried on had awful side effects but Sertraline had none. I would recommend you try it - nothing ventured nothing gained!

I was given it too but had a very bad time on it so was taken off it. It's like everything it works for some and not for others.

I am on sertraline carlton .i tend to sleep really heavy but no side effects that i worry about

I had awful side effects after a quad bypass, palpatations, sweating and anxiety, so I weaned myself off it, and I don't take anything at all now, being bi-polar I have good/ bad episodes, but I'd rather that, than the post bypass episodes! I'm not suggesting you stop them, there are plenty of others to try, and you really should push your gp into trying something else.
