I'm on 5mg (day 3) after about 2 months on 2.5mg.

My resting BPM can now be I the high 40s. Is this safe?

If is causing no symptoms I do not think there is any cause for worry. This is a common level for athletes and the multiple Tour de France winner Miguel Induráin had a reading BPM of 28!

Thanks for your reply. So far no problems, but when used to higher numbers its slightly worrying when one is below the "normal" 60 figure

I was put up to 5ng last Thursday from 2.5 and then the plan is in a couple of weeks to go up to 7.5. I’ve had no change to BPM.

I was on 5mg and occasionally dropped into the high 30s. I went to the doctor complaining of slight dizziness late in the evening so he dropped me to 2.5mg. my resting hr is now upper 40s and I feel fine.

All the best

Phil

These medications also lower blood pressure which can be dangerous if it drops way down - I'd get that checked if possible.
