Had pacemaker fitted end of January this year but everyone says tat after a while you don't know its there. Well I seem to be the complete opposite because when I move it moves with me. Even wearing a seatbelt causes extreme discomfort and its nearly impossible to stretch for anything. Is it just me or are other people feeling this too.

Hi, you’re not on your own in that I had an ICD fitted end of April and although the site is not painful if I am still, as soon as I do something I know it’s there. When I am in the passenger seat I hold the seatbelt away from me and yes it does seem to move inside. I recently had another pacing clinic and the specialist I saw said that this is actually what is happening because it just sits in a pocket the surgeon made and isn’t sewn in. I have read that it could take up to 18 months to totally forget it’s there! Hope hearing from someone in the same position helps. Also I feel li,e a new person since having it and have just bought an electric bike so I can get back to doing things I used to take for granted. Take care, Vanssa
