Confused
Hi I am not medical so looked it up for you - I thought angina attack passed and heart attack didn;t and this quote sort of says that:
"In angina, the heart does not get enough oxygen for a short time. The pain often goes away with rest or nitroglycerin. Angina does not usually cause lasting damage to the heart. A heart attack can happen if the flow of oxygen-rich blood to heart muscle suddenly becomes blocked.caused lasting damage,"
"
Thanks any idea how you know which one you have had then ha ha
If rest or the nitrogen spray doesn't get top it then it's the other one!
stop it that should say!!!
Thanks
When the demand of oxygen rich blood out strips suply the heart lets the body know by telling the sympathetic nerve.
We feel this and call it angina.
It makes no differance why demand outstrips supply. It can be lack of supply or increase in demand, iether way demand outstrips supply.
2 things now come into play, the lenght of time of the outstripping and the amount of outstripping.
So some of the heart or all of it is not getting enough to live so narcrosis happens, in orther words dies, once dead thats it! it will not come to life again (stem cells step forward). this is then called a myocardial infarction because usually it is the Myocardial that dies. As in NSTEMI and STEMI. an heart attack is generally thought of as the prosess.
