I am getting closer to week 4 after valve repair and still having weird problems with legs feeling floaty and like lead at the same time. Is this common? Just don’t know how to control it so I can get on the bus to physio. Does it go away?
Also I read that some get depressed or emotional daily. It sneaks up and makes it hard to rest. Does this eventually go away?

Do you have any signs of odema (like swollen ankles)? Post surgery I got an electrolyte imbalance and gained 9kg of water! Besides looking rather bloated the sensation when walking was like wearing water filled wellingtons!
No, actually they put me on a diuretic after I got out of hospital and the swelling went down, that and being mobile more has helped. I have never had a water problem before. I have lost weight because I can't seem to get hungry or I think I am losing muscle mass. Just hoping that after week 4 I can feel a bit of progress. I was going to the gym and hiking 6 weeks ago. Just very bizarre.
I had my bypass three months ago. Whilst yours was minimally invasive you still had a general anesthesic and were on a heart-lung machine for a period.
Nearly everyone suffers loss of appetite and, frequently, constipation. It was around the two month mark before my appetite was back to near normal. However, I doubt I could manage some of the bigger meals I sometimes ate previously.
Maybe it’s a good thing, we are eating better choices and not putting strain on. I actually weigh what I did when I was 18 now. My actual heart health is great, no cholesterol issues and I have had low blood pressure all my life. Just had a worn out valve. They supposed did the ring thing for support.
Yes it should go away but in time I know the surgery I had is different but everyone told me to make sure I get up every morning get ready for the day as normal so I feel as its another day, because if I stayed in bed you don't know what day it is. So take each day as it comes and try and keep smile ing tc xx
