Had tissue aortic valve replacement in January I had recovered well. Saw cardiologist beginning July. Had echo and he said all was well and see me in 2 years. Atvorstatin started although cholesterol was only four.

For the last couple of weeks I have suffered shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea and have even vomited several times.

Could it be the statin or is it the Bisoprolol. BP is always around 120/60.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

You need to see your GP. Whilst there is a chance it could be medication there is also a possibility that it is something else, You could have an ear infection or some sort of viral infection. Maisey/vomiting can upset the natural rhythm of breathing.

It could also be the fact u are recovering from a heart op but get it checked if u are worried.

Couldn't get gp appointment. However have now had a phone call from my gp, symptoms started after commencing Atvorstatin so she has suggested stop statin for a week. If improvement will change to a different one, if no change appointment will be arranged with cardiologist.

I am happy with this plan.

Thank you
