Swollen fingers

Hi the last few days my fingers have really become very swollen and sore when out walking. Anyone with tachycardia have this happen?

Hi, I walk out with my cardiac survivor husband, don’t know about his fingers but mine get swollen and sore. Try upping your fluid levels as dehydration in this hot weather causes your fingers to swell. You would think increasing fluid levels would make your fingers swell but it’s actually the reverse in this weather.

Thanks karenpr I'll try that. I drink loads normally but I don't drink while actually walking. Interesting

In which case read this, don’t think OMG I’ve got a problem. If you already drink lots degydration may not be the cause, just doing some finger and arm exercises may be the answer, I do that, look a right wally windmilling arms with stretched fingers. 🤣

My fingers swell up when I am out walking but I don't have tachycardia. I asked my GP about it and he had never heard of it. As my weight has dropped I don't get it as much. I will take note when I go for my walk today.

Well done. I spoke to cardiac nurse about it. Says it's probably verapramil reacting with statin. She's reducing statin from 80 mg to 20mg. Hope that fixes it
