Following an angiogram in my groin last monday, i have since developed Claudication in my right leg. It may be a coincidence or bad luck. Has anyone else had this and how do you cope. Walking is my only exercise and now that is to painful. Am waiting on appointment to see vascular surgeon. Thank you.

Get that checked I’m not medically trained so not sure but it’s sounds like a valve issue
Ty, I saw my cardiologist tuesday and they are referring me to vascular team after checking me out 😬
This sounds very much like PAD (Peripheral Arterial Disease) where the arteries of the leg (occasionally occurs in arm) narrow. The femoral artery is the one usually firs t affected. Causes, are smoking, raised cholesterol, and diabetes (I recall you are Type 2). There is a very, very slight chance that a piece of plaque was dislodged during your angiogram and had lodged in a leg artery. The UK trails the US and Western Europe in the treatment of PAD being reactive to conditions such as leg ulcers and gangrene rather than proactive. Things are changing but too slowly IMHO. Treatments include medication such as statins and aspirin, balloon angioplasty, stents and, occasionally, bypassing. Gary Mabbutt the former Spurs and England footballer, had a bypass to his left leg following a leg attack in 2013.
Thank you for the explanation that makes perfect sense and treatments i could be facing. i have reversed my diabetes but i guess the damage has already been done. I actually use to watch Gary when he played for spurs 😬
