Hello :-)

I am sorry to hear what you have been through but seems like you have made a good recovery :-)

Have you been informed about Rehab classes from the Hospital you were in as they are a great source of helping you get back to fitness if not contact them

As for taking a walk around the block there is no reason if you feel up to it that you should not

Take it easy and when you feel you have reached your limit then come back home

Walking is very good for us when we have had a heart attack just to start with we have to take it steady and slowly build it up which I am sure you will :-) x

Hiya,

Glad to hear you’re on the mend now and feeling ok. I think the question wld be, if your trusty steed decided to spook - wld you be able to rein him in safely, whilst your heart is still recovering? (As we know, these are big animals / small brain - that will often find even a crisp packet scary…)

Do you have a Cardiac Rehab Nurse you cld contact to check their thoughts on the matter or, one of the B.H.F Nurses on here?

Hopefully, you’ll soon be back in the saddle but in the meantime, try to take it easy!

Take it easy for now and take the advice of the rehab nurses. Just gentle walking for a start and build up slowly. We're all different and it will depend on how much damage he heart attacks did.

You’ll be back on top very soon but I would heed advice from your rehab team. I had Nstemi and quadruple bypass july 2023, was back on mucking out duties taking it steady then increased to barrowing heavier and heavier loads within a couple of months and riding my motorbike within 3 months , but I had a big surgery. 👍🏻
