Hi everyone. Since having all clear from angiogram, and echo etc, and meds keeping af and svt under control, I have suddenly started to feel an odd sensation in my throat, and am getting quite breathless when I walk a small distance. Has anyone felt something similar. I suppose it could be a bit of stress, but I don't get it when I go up stairs, which I do numerous times a day. Anybody got ideas as I don't want to keep rushing to Dr for no reason. I'm also an asthmatic, but haven't had an attack since Dec (which is what set me off on this heart journey). Anyone's thoughts would be gratefully received. Thanks

It strikes me that you have the perfect reason to go and bother your GP. The drugs may make you breathless. ACE inhibitors can give you a cough but I’m not aware of anyone saying they have throat issues. I go back to my first comment - go bother your GP (it’s what they get paid for).

Hi, first the good news is your angiogram you are clear. Your next hurdle is making sure the blanket cover of medication is right for you, there are plenty of other options. I experience breathless, that's from the beta blocker. The strange throat sensation could be caused by ACE inhibitor you could be allergic to it. Ramapril can cause angioedema ( swelling in facial soft tissue)which can be very serious. Definitely a trip to the doctor, better safe than sorry
I have the same Marco and I’m on Thorne ACE. Is this the same as “ACE inhibitor” you mentioned? I’m finding I’m very breathless and have a kind of pain or wind like feeling in my throat through the day at times?
Hi, a ACE inhibitor is a type of blood pressure control medication to which I am allergic. What I see about the Thorne ACE that is a vitamin tablet with bovine adrenal additives? If you are experiencing discomfort and difficulty breathing ask you doctor but I would also stop taking these and monitor if there is any change.
It's amazing how many self medicate type herbal, 'vitamin' tablets cannot be taken with other prescribed meds. They can either react badly or negate the good effect of the proper tablets
