Hi Dustin.
This extra beat is called a ventricular ectopic. A ventricular ectopic beat (VEB) is an extra heart-beat originating in the lower chamber of the heart. This beat, also called a premature ventricular contraction (PVC), occurs before the beat triggered by the heart's normal function. Often there is not a clear cause for these changes. They are mostly harmless. If you feel these are happening very often get advise from your own doctor.
