3 attacks and Fighting back

Hi I am Tony and Now had 3 heart attacks, 2nd one was fatal. but thanks to NHS wonderful Doctors Nurses and others I was re-sussed and kept alive.

Only trouble now is the total lack of energy, use to walking 30 miles every other day doing photography, now find it extremely hard walk 1/4 mile.

Now on a Mediterranean diet by my Cardiologist hopefully get back to it.

I will not quit, I will get back to walking the distance. Anxiety is only real scary bit .

Hi Anthony and welcome to the forum, sorry to hear of your issues. When were your attacks, recently? It will take time to build back up but you'll get there fingers crossed

Good luck Mark

Good for you Tony. As a fellow fighter for life it is always good to hear from others who are battling to recover. It can be a long process thought. Recovering from such a substantial amount of physical stress to the body needs to be a gradual thing.

You certainly sound as though you are on the right tracks. With your positive attitude and a good diet you are going in the right direction.

I hope that you continue to make your steady progress to a full recovery and will hope to see you posting here and keeping us updated on your reconditioned engine.

Kind regards, Rib

Hello Hang on in there it gets better, only it may take awhile. I agree the NHS takes a lot of stick, but for Acute Incidents it is amongst ( probably ) the best in the World.

Thanks to everybody for your kind comments, I Hope you are all keeping well. Had bad day Tuesday 14th March due to anxiety attacks all very big, tried to fight them but lost the fight, absolutely worn out of energy so stopped doing the house work, 4-7 attacks and hour. crazy being I am quite blase about the time of the heart attacks. Strange how the body and mind work.

Hi Anthony. I hope you feel better soon. I found deep breathing and standing yoga positions helped me get over anxiety & panic attacks. Also.....can you speak to your cardiac nurses about it? You could also call the BHF heart helpline 0300 330 3311 in office hours.

All the best. Clare
