Been diagnosed last year with pericarditis, it surged up again in December, and is surging now. I feel really, really terrible about it because I have had to call in sick to work, when I know that they are not only short staffed, but that I am out of sick time to take. I am anxious that I might end up losing my job over something I can't control - although I am on the Colchichine and Naproxen the doctor has given me.
Some days with it, I can't even walk without feeling anxious and dizzy. Has anyone else had similar experiences mentally with pericarditis, and if so are you able to provide any support?

With your work, what have they said to you thus far? Have you seen your GP and been signed off again?
I can't help with your diagnosis or symptoms, but I do know that you should put yourself first. Your health is paramount. Surely work can't be that unsympathetic! If they are they don't deserve you.
