Ivabradine
Hello Judy - sorry you're a bit worried about your new drug. Generally speaking ivabradine is tolerated really well and side effects are quite rare. Sometimes it can take a few weeks or so for your body to get used to a new drug, but if you stick with it any initial bothersome side effects tend to go away on their own.
I hope this helps - but essentially the only way to see if you'll cope with the drug well is to take it!
Take care, Chris
Thanks so much for your advice I've been taking it for 5 months now took a bit of getting used to but it has changed my life! I think its rather expensive according to my pharmacist. I see my cardiologist on Friday and hope he's going to continue to prescribe I would hate to take a step backwards.
That's wonderful, Judy! I'm so happy it's worked for you. Ivabradine is widely prescribed so there shouldn't be a cost issue - and considering the benefits you have I'd argue it's not ethical to take you off the drug for anything other than a medical reason
Hi Judym. I have been on ivabradine since October and all ok up to now. I started on half a tab morning and night and now on 1 tab morning and night as well as ramapril. XKaz.
