Hi I am Marianne age 50 and blood tests have shown that I have Heart Failure. I have been feeling unwell for 3 months and after antibiotics for a ear and throat infection which then caused thrush in my throat and mouth. Feel completely wiped out so had several blood tests. Now I have to repeat the blood tests, have a chest Xray and booked in for a Echo Cardiogram on the 26th January. I am asthmatic so taking steroid and ventolin inhalers. Can anyone recommend anything that can make me feel less tired? Any advice appreciated

Diagnosed with Heart Failure
Hi Marianne, sorry to hear you've been feeling unwell. I'm sure there's lots of people on the forum who have experienced the same feelings of fatigue...hopefully they will be able to give you some advice. The BHF also has an information booklet on heart failure to help you keep your condition under control bhf.org.uk/publications/hea... Hope it's useful!
Hi Marianne, sorry to hear you have had such a barrage of health issues lately, you must be feeling pretty fed up. Hopefully your forthcoming tests will enable your doctors to set up a course of treatment that will boost your energy levels (I have heart failure and manage to lead a fairly normal life thanks to medication and a CRT-D device) but in the meantime I can only recommend looking after yourself - eating well, doing gentle exercise and allowing yourself to rest when you need to. Good luck with everything going forward and feel free to fire any questions my way.
