Hi, I am new here . Had last Wednesday an angioplasty in Italy . While i was in holiday my mother died and after 1 week I started having chest pains and called the italian emergency services which sended me in hospital. Doctors there said to do a coronography and discoverd that i neded 2 stents, which 1st one I did it last Saturday and 2nd one this Wednesday.
I asked the doctors to go home from hospital the day after but they said if i sign the papers I can go, which I did. I have the flight back for UK this Saturday and wanted to know if is ok for me to get the flight ( 2 hours and 45 minutes direct flight).
Thoughts of everyone are very welcome.
Thank you for your your help in this matter.

Hi Bledar73 and welcome to the community. So sorry to hear about your mother, that must have been a shock. Please do contact our cardiac nurses at the BHF, they can give you advice about travelling and support if you need it. Contact details here: bhf.org.uk/heart-health/how...
I'm sure others will jump in with their own travel advice and experience.
So sorry to hear that you have been through all of this all in one week, sorry to hear about your loss. I agree with Helen contact the cardiac nurses at the BHF and make sure you look after yourself.
Sorry a bit late on this one. I was checking up on flying post bypass (still waiting for date) when I read about stenting. You should be fine to fly providing you do not have unstable angina or an irregular heartbeat.
If it was me I would investigate Eurostar as I consider t far less stressful than flying!
