Pressure and Discomfort.

Hi Everyone,

I had valve sparring aortic root replacement over 5 months ago, but the last few days I’ve been getting a pressure/discomfort at the throat/base of front of neck and the side of the neck on exertion and when I bend forward the pressure in the side of my neck is quite a lot. When I breathe in I can feel a discomfort in my throat/base of neck. I have this same pressure/discomfort when I lay down in bed.

I’ve never had this at all after surgery until a few days ago. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem following their heart surgery?

Liam.

I have heard this on and off for a number of years.

But I started getting it regular pretty much every day about a year, year and a half before my heart attack.

I quite often mention it when I see any doctors. All of then have said it is tinnitous.

I get the jugular vien and throat discomfort quite often too.

They still say tinnitous?

My advice to you though, is if this is a new symptom. Then really you should make an appointment to see your Gp.

let us know what they say it is. Take care now, Jo ☺
