I had an ECG today and it looks like my QRS is widening 10 months ago it was just over 120ms and today it was 136ms anyone any idea how far it has to widen before your at the Pacemaker stage ? My Heart Failure is currently in the Moderate phase.
My heart was also in I think sinus --------- slow at 48 B P apart from that it was fine !!! only a few ectopic thrown in along the way. They didn't have my records from my previous Hospital visits so they will send for my scans etc, before they can say if they will attempt to open my RCA.
So back on the waiting train if I was on stand by pay I would be worth a fortune. I can't spell Brachycardia which I think was the word after Sinus ????

Hi Frank - sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. There are quite a few factors that help us to decide when to recommend a pacemaker, and QRS duration doesn't always play a big enough role that there's a set number we make a decision on.
Sinus bradycardia is basically when your heart rate is below 60bpm and the electrical system is all conducting normally. Our booklets on heart failure might be useful for you, which you can access through our heart failure web page: bhf.org.uk/heart-health/con...
