I have something similar to you. I have PCCD which has developed because of a genetic mutation to my hearts sodium channels. It actually sounds very similar on paper to Brugada so I'm not sure why it's different.. Anyway, I had my ICD fitted in July and I'm it's there. My personal paramedic!

You're right, finding out you have a rare heart condition is a shock but at least they've found it and you'll be safe from now on.

I got my travel insurance through ASDA. They covered all my medical things and it was a reasonable price.

Hello Beverley and welcome. A shock to most when diagnosed with any heart issue, but good news its been found. Good luck with the insert I'm sure it will be fine, we have plenty of members here who can attest to that, plus give a wealth of advice.

Hi Beverley. I've had my ICD for a few years now. I was very anxious about it beforehand, but am so glad to have it now. Really it hasn't made any change to how I live my life, other than making me feel reassured that it's there. Hi I too are new to this site but have found everyone so helpful and friendly . I sorry you have these heart problems, I find I need to look up on line to see what these problems are as I have not heard of them before . I can help with recommended medical travel insurance I have booked with Boots multi annual plus cruise which after searching through so many went to the Which best for medical travel site . Hi and welcome, I am also waiting to get an icd fitted but it's for heart failure , probably Nov as well although I don't have a date, trepidation is the way I feel about it but I know it's for piece of mind, I have an annual travel policy with, insurewith.
