I am 64 and fairly healthy, two weeks ago I had a heart attack and was fitted with a stent straight away, I am recovering very well, to be honest I don't feel any different than before the incident.
I am on all the usual drugs which are prescribed after this event, which I am taking with no problems.
My travel insurance will not cover me at the moment and have said to contact them in approx six weeks time to see if they can then offer me cover.
I want to travel to canary islands soon for just a week, I have checked with the consultant and cardiac rehabilitation nurses who have said that it will be fine to do so. Can anyone recommend a travel insurance company.
Best Regards

Great to hear that your recovery is going well! It can be very frustrating organising travel insurance, so we've compiled a list of sympathetic insurance companies that can help people who have a heart condition. Please have a look at our website for details!- bhf.org.uk/heart-health/liv...
Best wishes,

Hi I got my travel insurance with a company called, insurancewith. Com, they specialise in medical conditions I found it very easy to apply for compared to some, and reasonable for an annual policy, the British heart foundation website also has a list of companies that will insure us, enjoy your holiday, have a great time, I am off to tenerife myself in two weeks, I can't wait x
