Apologies I'm back with more questions. I'm getting quit a few heart rythm issues such as skipped beats and fluttering, the usual palpitation type things. Is it normal to get these after a bypass and from experience do they settle down?

No apologies needed, from my experience you tend to feel everything, missed beats, extra beats palpitations. If in doubt ask your doctor as well
Hello there - this is quite normal, but check in with your GP to make sure they're happy. Sometimes your heart can be irritated by surgery and having abnormal heart rhythms can result from this - often they go away on their own but always worth following up on.
Take care, Chris
Yes apparently atrial fibrillation quite common after bypass. Mine didn't go, so two weeks later, I landed up back in hospital, as it was really bad. Put back on beta blocker, then soon settled down.
So if in doubt, make the call. Hugs Jo
I already on 2 different meds to keep my HR down. It feels more like skipped beats than rpaid flurries tbh. May be ectopic beats? Waiting to hear from gp about getting an ecg done anyway. I'm sure these things are normal after surgery but it's just unpleasant and a bit of a concern.
