Hi everyone, my names Tammy and I'm 28 from the midlands. I'm a widow and have a little boy.

I've been getting chest pains also that are in my jaw arm and shoulder since last September. I've had endless ecgs and blood tests, echo, 24hr ecg, chest X-rays, a ct of my chest and stress test and all have come back perfect. I'm still getting the pains and thy really panic me thinking is there something they could have missed. I struggle to gain weight and I'm not the most active person. I do suffer a lot with indigestion. Has or is anyone going through this and is there anything they could do or is it more than likely stress like they say. Ps I have lost my husband and Num in the last few years and do care for my brother who has epilepsy so I do have a busy life

Hi Tammy, I'm really sorry to hear about all the symptoms you've been having and not surprised that they're making you feel really panicky. It's actually more common than you think where people have symptoms that make you think it's a heart problem, and actually it's down to things like stress or anxiety. You certainly sound like you have a lot on your plate at the moment, so considering all your tests so far have been normal it might be time to start looking at getting some support.

We do have a booklet you might find helpful, which you can download or order a hard copy of on this page bhf.org.uk/publications/str...

Anxiety UK also have some great information about stress on their site anxietyuk.org.uk/anxiety-ty...

It's so important for people who have such big responsibilities like caring for others to look after themselves, so it might also be worth chatting to your GP about some face-to-face support such as counselling.

I hope this helps.

Look after yourself,

Chris
