Hi, i am a relativelt fit 52 year old male who has just had a catherter ablation for atrial flutter. Pre- op most of my events happened late evening on days after had been to the gym. I have been told now that i am 8 weeks post-op that i can return to the gym, but i am finding the menatl confidence to do anything has gone.

Does anyone have a similar experience and any advice!!

Hi. I am not surprised you are apprehensive of returning to the gym, if previously you had symptoms after visiting the gym. It may be wise to take it slowly, initially at low intensity, and build up over several weeks until you are back to your normal level of activity

Kind regards Judith
