Memories of loved ones I hadn't thought about for long time.

Do certain situations do the same for you?

Yes, they do. My husband grew up in Massachusetts, so the change of seasons was ingrained in him, so yeah, it makes me think of him, which I pretty much do all day as it is.Rosemary reminds me of my grandpa. He had it growing in his yard. So I always associate it with him.

I imagine many things remind us of our loved ones over time Hilomom

Now rosemary, is a strong reminder for me too, strange that.

I've been trying to think of something that reminds me of my Mum, but I just can't, and it's bothers me.

yes it certainly does. I’m not sure why but every change of season makes me sad & think of all that’s lost to me.

After my daughter died Id get in a terrible state when it was snowing & cold. She hated being cold & id spend long sad nights worried that wherever she was she might not be warm enough. Stupid really.

Mint sauce, homemade makes me think of my mum.
