I have achieved far greater degrees of patience, endurance and maturity. That only comes when you are caring for someone with little practical support. Looking after a loved one, compelled to deal with officialdom and coping with the after-effects make it a truly unique achievement.

Somehow, despite everything, we cope with matters we never thought we could and in actual fact, we've grown beyond recognition and matured as you say.
