Hi,

Good you have found this site. It is a great way to share experiences with others effected with Behcets.

I'm no expert and was only diagnosed last year. One thing I would recommend you do is keep a diary of your symptoms to take with you to your appointment. Also think about any questions you might have and write them down too. I have been to appointments in the past and remembered questions I had in the car on the way home as I had a lot to take in and totally forgot about my questions.

Good luck at your appointment and welcome to BD forum. C x x

hi Hun,

Lovely to see you on here sweetie, you're among friends hun so no need to feel worried or anxious here. :)

As far as attending a clinic, I went for my first visit to Aintree in mid march although I have had a full diagnosis for at least ten years now. I wrote a blog on what happened at each stage during my visit so perhaps have a look by entering key words in the search box at the top of the screen or through my profile and you should get a good idea of how it all works when you get there. Okay hun ?

Very best wishes and welcome to the forum. Please ask about anything you are unsure about or want to know. we are a pretty friendly bunch here so just ask away hun. Hope all goes well for you on your appointment. :)

Hi

Thank you, I just keep thinking nah it's not me, I was diagnosed about 10 Yeats ago with poly arthritis, and I have spondylitis ( quite bad) just resently I was told I have fibromyalgia as well, but for the past 2 years I have had recurrent blisters in my nose, girly bits etc and I am sooo tired I can sleep for 20 hours a day. A locus at my gp took one look and suggested betchet , and referred me, my head is all over the place.

Is this typical, lots of things are falling into place and my family tell me I have suffered Serbian things since I was a child.

Hi Cherryann,

Hope you don't mind me asking but where do you live as unfortunately it depends on where you are from to be able to get the best treatment! Trust me I speak from experience.

But I agree with what others have said, write everything down, not just how you are feeling at present but try and go back like your family has said, and think of things that have happened right through your life. I always take a pen and paper with me when I see the consultant as if there are any "big words" I ask them to say it again and spell it for me, then if I am unsure I always use the internet to check this out, sometimes you get horror stories, but as you are on here there is always plenty of help.

Good luck and take care

Jackie
