Get professional medical advice asap. Never ever leave anything to do with eyes when you have BD.

I completely agree with Ruth...I had the most bizarre headache that I mentioned in passing to my GP. She didnt like the sound of it and made me go to the Eye hospital A&E. I had UVEITIS and the opthalmologist was gobsmacked that my GP referred me given that I was saying that I had a dagger pain in my right eye and a headache....yet I had UVEITIS in my left eye.

I have put up with outrageous pain, but I would hate to lose my sight...I have enjoyed it immensely since I have been so ill.

Go check it out immediately. Love Jill x

Please please please, see someone about this urgently. Do you see an opthalmic consultant at hospital? This is really worrying, do you have an A&E department at the hospital where your consultant is? It might be a good idea to go there and by-pass the GP. I would not normally recommend this, but your problem needs URGENT treatment.

Good luck, Suzanne xx

I think I should add that we are not trying to panic you, or assuming you have serious problem, we are not medics. It's simply a fact with BD that any eye problems need to be looked at urgently, as early intervention can prevent complications and further problems. Do let us know how you get on.

I had something similar, and saw my specialist. After a few tests (vision, pressure etc) they knew what it was and gave me a prescription.

As my old GP used to say.. "Whats your job?" If it isn't "GP", go and get some advice. after all, you pay enough in tax!

agree, my eye dr had advised me to give her a ring anytime i have something that i feel is not right w/my eyes....she advised that she would get me in quickly if something came up; as she understands w/BD that the eyes can go quickly if not treated;
