is there any know connection between Behcet's and growth hormone deficiency?
Now, there's a funny thing (as my dad would say!).
Number one son, now 25 and 6', didn't grow from the age of 8 until he had growth hormones injected at the age of 16. He doesn't have Behcet's as far as I am aware. I wonder about a familial link though. I'm only 5' - perhaps I am meant to be a 6' Amazonian!

That is amazing...how long was he on the growth hormones for? Did he suffer with headaches while injecting?
With regard to the family link I have a Facebook page Called West of Ireland Behcet's Group to which I have posted an answer to that question and some useful links..kind of sort of put my mind at rest!!

I can't remember his exact drug regime but I know the treatment period was nine months.
I do remember him suffering from headaches and I very clearly remember mood swings and aggression. He went from a laid back little person to an angry big person! There don't seem to have been any long-term effects - he is once again laid back (actually, he's just lazy!).

That is interesting. I'm 5'2. I was the tallest in my classes at school until I was 13 years old (when my BD symptoms first started to appear) then I just stopped growing. I'm now 27 and have just been diagnosed.
