The British Association of Dermatologists and British Society for Rheumatology living guideline for managing people with Behçets 2024 has been co-published this week in both the British Journal of Dermatology and Rheumatology.

The overall objective of the current iteration of the Behçets living guideline is to provide up-to-date, evidence-based recommendations for the management of Behçets in adults, children and young people. The guideline has been developed using the BAD’s recommended methodology.

The Guideline Development Group developed:

- 87 recommendations

- 10 Future Research Recommendations (FRR)

- 7 recommended audit points

- a patient management pathway algorithm

- a psychological management algorithm
