My Dr says he’s classified me as having Behcets overlapped with arthritis. I have knee and feet swelling when standing too long. I have Achilles, Patellar and Rotator tendon inflammation. Mouth ulcers have stopped since starting Colcrys! Praise the Lord! I had mouthful of ulcers almost on a monthly basis until my Dr put me on Colcrys!
So can anyone tell me if Behcets causes tendon inflammation? Patellar tendon causes the most pain!
Please help if you can.

Hi Shari. I have osteoarthritis as well as Behcet's Disease. Both of these complaints cause swelling of the legs and feet so it will be difficult to decide if just one is responsible or not. Sometimes our kidneys are working inefficiently and that causes the swelling. I have suffered from this quite badly in the past, but I take a couple of frusamide tablets in the morning and that has stopped it unless, of course, it is a hot day.
I am waiting for a triple arthrodesis on my left foot to try to repair the damage from inflamed ankle tendons which is causing my foot to curl over inwards. (Not very comfortable to say the least). My vasculitis consultant is of the opinion that the tendon inflammation has been caused by BD.
I am pleased to know that you have found an effective drug for your ulcer problems and hope that you can find a medic to help your ankle problem.
I too have low kidney function so I’m seeing a Nephrologist it’s horrible what BD does to us!
I’ll ask my Dr if he will refer for a vasculitis consult!!
My Gastro dr said if I kept having stomach pain and nausea that he was sending me for a coronary workup. Who knew stomach problems could cause heart problems
