Hi all went to c my rheumatologist today an she know says I have fibromyalgia as well as the bechets an everything else just wondering if

I never heard of it b4 so was a bit of a shock to b told I have yet another condition . Can I ask how do u manage it plZ an thanks for ur reply

I think quite a few of us have both. I think quite a lot of the symptoms of both crossover, I personally find it difficult to distinguish between what is behcets and what is fibromyalgia.

I agree with Laura,I think the sypmtoms are very similar to behcets and crossover.my rheumatologist said I have this too (cmplete agony all over my body sometimes-torsos,legs etc its very painful) apparently the best treatment is excersise (which is very hard for me atm as I have inflammation in my hip) but if you can manage walking or light exercise he said this will help symptoms a few days after

Hi there,

Same here, I was also officially dignosed with fibromyalgia last week in tip of Behcets n other health problems.

I again diagnosed myself, as I have been suffering from this for many years and working as a social worker identified the symptoms.

I just get thru each day with my painkillers n being grateful for wot i hav n not wot i cud hav, also thinking about the people who r worse off than myself.

I am a very strong individual and work part time although i have to push myself daily to keep going, but I am determined not to let this beat me.

Thank u all for ur advice it's gd to know I'm not alone although I wouldn't wish this on anyone else I try to walk as much as poss but again like missrosie I'm suffering withy hips to I ave just gone on sick from work I'm a support worker with people with severe learning diffs I luv my job but I'm in so much pain right now I couldn't give them my all which is wot they deserve plus I'm finding driving very hard but I agree with u Abbie there r people we work with far less fortunate than ourselves so I will pull through this an get bk to work thanks again everyone xx

hello,yeah right abby that helps me through each day just being grateful that I am alive,and thinking there are people who are alot worse,who get through too.I am very strong and I know I will pull through all this...I have been stuck in bed for over a year now,but finally getting better from 4 weekly infliximab and constant pain relief.I can't wait till I can get back to normal life and think,that was just an awful time in my life!!

We are all alive and although behcets is awful and terribly painful,some people suffer so much more than us.I also had a friend who died last year (age 20) really makes me think about life and how we should just be grateful that we are here.

Jackamo,hope you feel better soon.It is really hard when everything is just so painful you can't work or do anything,I get frustrated! Hip pain is the worst to me atm,its just agonising,my rhumo is trying to get me a steroid injection done in it (which I have been told helps v fast) maybe you could suggest this to your doc if it is a big problem for you?x
