combined pill bleeding

I’m on the combined pill, I’ve been on it for 4 months now and my doctor told me I can take it for 6 months straight with no break and then at the end of those 6 months take a 7 day break and then back to it like normal, I’m just into the 4th month and I’ve non stop bled for 2 weeks and am starting to get worried, shall I just take a break and see if that fixes it or is it better to switch my birth control??

I’m on the combined pill and my doctor said to take it continually until you start to bleed and then take your break xx
