repeated thrush

Hello everyone, I have been fighting vaginal thrush for nearly 7 years. A few courses of Fluconazole 6 months each, didn’t work, all swabs confirm thrush BUT lab is not capable of confirming which candida it is etc. I also have suspision it could be lactobacillus.. basically I am going in circles and between fluconazole, pessaries.. soo soo fee up! My symptoms are itching and red/sore vagina, no discharge as such. I feel GP doesn’t want know what to do… Any advice? Thank you

hi, same situation! Have you tried boric acid pessaries?

hi yes, but no improvement! The thing is I am really not sure what I have as none of the antifungal treatments work🤷‍♀️

I don’t know what age you are but have you thought of the possibility that your symptoms could be a low level of oestrogen. I thought I had thrush but in fact this was the problem. You can use a gel for it.

hello, I am 39, 2 kids (4,6). I asked my GP to give me pills as my symptoms always got worse around ovulation, now on pills, much worse, itchy all the time🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️I just want to cry as I feel my GP doesn’t know what to do (and not interested anymore, I have cronic thrush according to her). I am going to see a private gynecologists soon. I just feel I have some skin condition around vagina, but the strange thing is, all swabs have shown thrush but never ever in detail what type of candida, etc. I also read lactobacillus look same in lab test🤷‍♀️

I use Blissel 50 micro grams/g vaginal gel. You have to have it prescribed by a doctor. I hope this helps.
