Thrush???

So I was experiencing some itching down there and then I had sexual intercourse and it seemed to have got worse (itchy) I also have like yellowish discharge like a lot of it aswell it doesn’t smell or anything but obviously I’m worrying is it chlamydia??

I also went to the sexual health clinic and they did give me an oral tablet for infections and some thrush cream and they said it does sound like thrush. I just wanted some opinions as I’m panicking I’ve caught an sti

Oh yeah that sounds like thrush.

Chlamydia is asymptomatic usually but if you're concerned you can get your doctor to give you a testing kit which you do yourself (or if you're under 25 you can ask RUClear to send you one in the post!) and you do the swab, return it to the doctor (or pop it in the post!) and you'll get your result.

If it is chlamydia, you can get it treated.

But honestly that sounds like when I had thrush.

It was a while back and I don't think it was much longer than a week, I was still a teenager so we're talking about ten years ago now 😊

I’m actually 18 turning 19 in a few weeks it’s just annoying me now I just want it to go away, it’s got better with the cream I got and the tablet I took but still itchy at night the most

Try keeping yourself cool at night I get thursh alot and tbh I feel if you sweat at night with PJ's on its best to just sleep with nothing on your bottom half and let the air in that's what I do at night it's just the heat building up. I wear fleesy jammies alot and that's half my problem for being to hot at night hope this helps

Cotton undies! If you really can't sleep naked, cotton undies are the bees knees.

Also if the itching is really bad, you can get an over the counter cream so you don't need to go to your doc again 😊
