Depends on what you mean by "thrush " . Have you had a test to confirm, what are your symptoms, are you using any type of contraception .

Ok so yes that could be candida , what over the counter treatments have you tried ?

Yes recently I brought some yesterday because I was trying to wait it out but it got worse. I only started getting after someone gave head/oral sex

You mean that you received oral sex ? Oral sex may cause bacterial vaginosis in some women ( low evidence base ) The cyclical pattern of your discharge changes sound more like candida. This is unlikely to be due to sexual contact. Do you have any general health issues such as thyroid or diabetes ?

No I don’t but the first time he gave me oral sex I got a yeast infection but I never treated it I only used the itch cream so maybe it keeps coming back because I didn’t treat it

Candida needs to be treated with either a single dose fluconazole 150mg pill orally, or a clotrimazole 500mgs pessary for inside the vagina. Treating symptoms on the outside wont clear the infection. IF your problems keep recurring despite this you should attend a sexual health unit for assessment.

It is highly unlikely in a female receiving oral sex, but if your symptoms persist you should attend a sexual health service . Genital herpes can cause a change in discharge and it can be cyclical also, but you would expect painful breaks in the skin associated with it. This is the main STI to consider in a female receiving oral sex.

I have breaks in my skin from scratching it but my vaginal discharge is the same as yeast infection

Yes it does sound like that - but if it doesnt responde to thrush treatment - get an assessment done :-)
