Progestogens including Nexplanon can be associated with breast pain. However you should see a doctor for an assessment to rule out other causes.

Thanks for replying..

I've had exams, and they said they coudn't feel anything distinctive, but i called back because i could feel something. However what i was feeling is decreasing in size which they said is a good thing, but i should create a breast pain chart and take it in if it continues. I've realised that it started a few months after i had the implant put in, and is most certainly connected to my cycle. I say this because it comes just before my period and on the last/day after ive had it.

It is possible that this breast pain ( mastalgia ) may be related to a breast cyst ( fibroadenoma ) which can respond to flucatuations in hormones , and this could be worsened by having a progestogen implant. So long as you have had a proper assessment of the lump, then continue to monitor it. If it is still problematic, you might want to consider switching to something like the Mirena IUS or even a copper IUD if you wanted to avoid hormones completely.

Hello, I've had the copper coil before ( twice) and both times it messed with my body... the implant at the moment is my only option.. I can only have 1 hormone too so that also limits what I can use.

I think by only one hormone you mean you cant taken oestrogens. Can you say why ? it might be worth considering a different progestogen , perhaps depo provera injection.
