I have a mirina coil fitted 3 years ago-after my daughter was born. After she was born, i started to suffer with Anxiety and having anxiety attacks. I always thought cause of it was my daughter, new baby, busier life style.... i am now thinking it could be the coil, it all started after i had it fitted. Anyone else had this experience?

It doesn't contain any hormones so I don't personally see why it would cause anxiety problems.

The Mirena coil does contain hormones, it's the other one, Skyla I think it's called, that doesn't.

But I don't think it's the coil - have you been on progestin only contrateption before (like the mini pill??)
