Trichomoniasis and PID

Hi,

I had a X-Ray done a few months back due to pelvic pain and the final report mentioned a potential Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

I’ve had white and thick discharges with a fishy smell for a while, if not years but it was coming and going until now...

I have vaginal itching and sometimes burning, (very) frequent urge to urinate, sometimes going to the loo 5-6 times in an hour but nearly nothing comes out, vaginal bleeding, irregular period (probably due to my PCOS), pelvic pain, occasional pain during intercourse and I once had pain when urinating it was really painful but went away on its own.

I had a full blood count test done a few days ago and the results came back borderline.

My level of lymphocytes is higher than the normal range (3.4) which is worrying me a little.

Also, I had a swab done but my GP told me today that they are NOT LONGER testing samples for Trichomoniasis, and that I need to go to a GUM clinic.

I’m going to the walk in clinic tomorrow morning to get tested but I’m wondering:

IF Trachomoniasis is what caused my potentional PID, does it explain the high level of Lymphocytes ?
